When you see in Indian cities such a lot of books, sometime like walls of buildings, and so many people reading, you perceive that here are the roots of peace and democracy founded by Gandhi's ideas and practice. The menace of terrorism and religious fanaticisms seems so far. Unfortunately they are hidden, but alive.
